The Meridian International Center's Global Service Leaders motivates and connects emerging leaders from around the world to address community challenges through volunteerism. By connecting these aspiring leaders to a global community of peers and mentors, GSL is Changing Their World to Change Ours!

The Global Service Leaders Network engages individual leaders, connecting them to an on-line community of interest now located in over 100 countries. Members have access to learn new skills from volunteer experts in the field and explore collaboration on international volunteerism awareness campaigns. GSL tests traditional models of volunteerism, providing an opportunity and incentive to redefine what volunteerism looks like. Among other innovations, GSL encourages leaders to recruit new communities of volunteers, including at-risk youth, people living with disabilities, people living with HIV/AIDS, indigenous and other populations – bringing the beneficiary into the solution. And GSL informs a growing dialogue on international volunteerism. An analysis of GSL efforts in the field, as well as stories of service from member countries, provides an in-depth look at the impact of volunteerism around the world.
